Starting from Singapore, Answering the World – The Four 'Whys' Behind Global Connect Singapore.

ice  •

Global Connect Singapore 2026 brings together four major thematic summits over two days: the Global Growth Summit, the AI+ Application Summit, the AI Technology Development Summit, and the Software Globalization Summit & AI Project Roadshow. We expect over 1,500 industry attendees, with more than 60% holding C-suite or senior executive positions, representing over 30 countries and regions worldwide.

Yet beyond these numbers, four more fundamental questions deserve our attention.

1. Why Singapore?

This is no random choice.

Situated at the strategic choke point of the Malacca Strait, Singapore lies within a six‑hour flight radius of half the world’s population – covering China, India, ASEAN, and Australia. It is truly the “crossroads of Asia.” The World Bank has repeatedly ranked it as one of the easiest places to do business globally, with a corporate income tax cap of just 17%, no capital gains tax, a robust intellectual property protection framework, and some of the world’s most advanced digital economy agreements. Today, over 4,000 multinational corporations have set up regional headquarters here, with tech giants like ByteDance, Alibaba, Tencent, Microsoft, and Google all maintaining significant operations.

More importantly, Singapore is emerging as a neutral AI hub for the world. SuperAI 2026 will convene 10,000 participants and 1,500 AI companies in the very same venue; ATxSummit 2026 will bring together over 4,000 leaders from more than 50 countries. Global Connect Singapore’s timing and location are not about following the crowd – they are about seizing the pole position.

As the organizer, Beluga Global, puts it: “Singapore is not just the gateway to Southeast Asia; it is the proving ground that tests whether a company truly has a 'global gene.' Here, you don't just hear stories – you find solutions.”

2. Why Now?

If the theme of cross‑border expansion over the past five years was “e‑commerce and tools,” then the core engine for the next five years is undoubtedly AI globalization and software globalization. These two waves are reshaping global industries at a pace faster than anyone anticipated.

With over 5.4 billion internet users worldwide, digital adoption in emerging markets is particularly explosive. From intelligent customer service and content moderation to AI‑powered writing and video generation, demand for AI applications has shifted from “nice‑to‑have” to “mission‑critical infrastructure.” Business leaders are no longer asking “Should we use AI?” – they’re asking “How long can we survive without it?”

But the reality is harsh: divergent data regulations across countries, local language and cultural adaptation, payment integration, and on‑the‑ground deployment remain formidable barriers. Companies that merely translate their AI products and deploy them on the cloud often find themselves overtaken by local competitors within three months of entering a new market. SaaS, cloud services, and DTC brands are accelerating their global footprints – yet deep localization, including building local teams, ensuring compliance, and forging ecosystem partnerships, is the true watershed.

This event arrives at the critical inflection point where the industry is moving from “trial” to “full‑scale commitment.” Coming or not – the difference isn’t about knowing the trends; it’s about holding the ticket to the next stage.

3. Why These People?

The caliber of a summit is often revealed by its speaker lineup.

4. Why You?

Going global is not a privilege reserved for large corporations.

The Global Growth Summit opens with a keynote on building a new “borderless” business paradigm amid global restructuring. This is followed by expert talks on redefining industrial value – from market insights to localized operations. The roundtable “Surviving the Great Global Divergence: Brand Survival and Hyper‑localization in a Multipolar Era” will tackle three sharp questions:

- What was the biggest “illusion” about cross‑border expansion over the past year?

- Which under‑rated regions or sectors are the real “profit pools”?

- Is AI breaking down cultural barriers, or accelerating brand homogenization?

The AI+ Application Summit roundtable will discuss:

- How to break down “technology silos” under geopolitical and compliance constraints?

- What pitfalls to avoid in globalizing AI‑powered apps?

- How will AI reshape gaming and entertainment over the next 3‑5 years?

The AI Technology Development Summit roundtable, “Building a Collaborative Ecosystem for Trustworthy AI,” will explore:

- How to balance AI safety and data compliance while leaving room for innovation and implementation?

- Under the wave of open‑source models, how can we pool resources across Southeast Asia to build a collaborative, low‑cost developer ecosystem?

- What are the core opportunities and practical pathways in R&D, talent development, and generative AI copyright protection?

The Software Globalization Summit roundtable focuses on “How AI Empowers Software Globalization,” with three main topics:

- Is the impact of AI (LLMs, AI Agents) on the software industry a “disruption” or an “upgrade”?

- Which links will be reinvented by AI, and which remain irreplaceable?

- How can AI help software products achieve “differentiated growth” (avoiding price wars)? Success stories?

- How to balance AI efficiency with data privacy to stay compliant?

These are not vague discussions – they are head‑on confrontations with the real pains that businesses face.
