Data Analyst, Publisher SMB

Facebook seeks a Data Analyst for its Global SMB Publisher team. We're a mobile-focused team, and your initial focus will be to guide SMB mobile app publishers as they adopt the Audience Network. Our mission is to bring Facebook's highly targeted, quality ads to millions of developers, and we're just getting started. You'll play a pivotal role in defining our strategy and scaling our business. This role will use data analysis to develop models and reports that provide insight into the long-tail publisher base, identify opportunities, and impact the strategy of our Product, Marketing, and Sales teams. He or she must thrive on partnering with cross-functional teams and exhibit excellent analytical and communication skills. This is a full time position based in our Singapore location.

Responsibilities

  • Enable long-tail acquisition, activation, and retention through effective use of data

  • Enable the Publisher SMB team to plan, execute, report on and monitor the success of outreach campaigns

  • Work closely with optimization teams to identify publisher cohorts & performance optimization initiatives

  • Develop data infrastructure (ETLs, data models, and reports) and other tools to make analytics easier and more effective

  • Take advantage of massive amounts of structured data to understand how to improve our business success and our teams’ efficiency

  • Produce ad hoc analyses to aid the team in understanding customer behavior, develop POV’s and drive decision-making

  • Be a thought leader and go-to-expert on data resources and tools

  • Manage integration of disparate, user-level data sets into a unified view of the consumer for the development of segmentation models

  • Identify growth opportunities by uncovering new segments and channels via applied data analysis

  • Design and report on incrementality testing, including channel impact of email marketing or digital advertising

  • Lead development of marketing attribution model across integrated channels to optimize ROI

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, or other quantitative field (advance degree preferred)

  • 4+ years of experience in business strategy, finance, engineering, or analytics

  • Experience with SQL (Oracle, Vertica, Hive, MySQL, etc.) is required

  • Experience with statistical analysis. Stat packages such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc. is a plus

  • Experience with the mobile app publisher landscape and/or online marketing & advertising is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience with web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics preferred

  • Experience with Tableau

  • Experience with digital advertising tracking, measurement, and metrics

Growth Lead, Publisher SMB

Facebook seeks a Growth Lead for its Global SMB Publisher team. We're a mobile-focused team, and your initial focus will be to guide SMB mobile app publishers as they adopt the Audience Network. Our mission is to bring Facebook's highly targeted, quality ads to millions of developers, and we're just getting started. You'll play a pivotal role in defining our strategy and scaling our business. We're seeking someone who is passionate about helping publishers have an exceptional experience and driving measurable business results. You will design, launch, evaluate, optimize, and scale online education and customer lifecycle programs in priority markets around the world to help millions of developers reach their goals. You'll interact directly with individual developers to provide technical advising, troubleshooting, and analysis. This position will be based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to global strategy for SMB publisher acquisition, growth, and satisfaction. Lead APAC strategy – design, execution, and measurement.

  • Enable torso and long-tail acquisition, onboarding, and optimization through rigorous sales and support processes. Continually improve efficiency of our operations

  • Design outreach programs to acquire developers at scale. Create content, implement A/B tests, execute campaigns/programs, measure impact, and iterate.

  • Provide a world-class publisher experience. Work 1:1 with developers via email, phone, chat, etc. to increase conversion & solve problems. Contribute to 1:many channels such as forums and online help. Communicate clearly. Be efficient and thoughtful.

  • Build expertise in Facebook products and technologies such as the mobile SDK, Audience Network, publisher reporting tools, etc

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in relevant area. Degree or professional experience in economics, statistics, engineering, or computer science a plus

  • At least six years of relevant experience. Experience in operations, acquisition marketing or consulting preferred

  • Experience leading design, implementation, and ongoing operations of customer-facing programs

  • Passionate about helping developers

  • Strong problem solving and quantitative analytical skills

  • Experience with mobile SDKs and server side publisher integrations a plus

  • Excellent communication skills speaking to technical and business audiences

  • Fast learner and ability to set direction and execute in a quickly evolving, sometimes ambiguous environment

  • Fluent in Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean a plus

  • Ability to travel to Menlo Park for initial trainings
