Big Names, and More Than Just Listening – Why Global Connect Singapore Is Worth Your Time

ice  •

For some conferences, the caliber of the guest list says it all.

On September 17–18, 2026, the Global Connect Singapore Globalization Summit will take place at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Over two consecutive days, four major thematic summits – the Globalization Growth Summit, AI Application Summit, AI Technology Development Summit, and Software Globalization Summit – will unfold, each with an audience of 500+ attendees, focusing on three key tracks: AI, software globalization, and brand going global. But what truly sets this summit apart is who stands on stage and who sits in the audience.

This article highlights a selection of confirmed speakers who will deliver keynote addresses. The summit will also feature dozens of panelists, exhibition dialogue guests, and closed-door seminar participants. Please refer to the on-site agenda for the full speaker list.

Global Practitioners:From China to the World – They’ve Been in the Trenches

Chris Pereira – Founder and CEO of Meixun (North American Communication). A Canadian who has lived in China for 20 years, he is a well-known expert in corporate strategy and public relations across North America and Asia-Pacific. In 2020, he founded Meixun (North American Communication), and within just a few years, he has provided overseas brand communication services to hundreds of clients, helping more than 300 Chinese companies develop overseas business and build brands. In 2023, he was named to Forbes China's Top 30 Globalization Pioneers. He is also a columnist for Fortune, Forbes, South China Morning Post, and Titanium Media, and is frequently interviewed by The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Reuters, and CCTV. He knows exactly the hurdles Chinese companies face when going global – from cultural clashes to trust-building, from brand development to localized execution – every step has been tested in real overseas markets.

Cao Zheng – Founder of Gamesky Global Pte Ltd. A Tsinghua University graduate with nearly two decades in the internet industry, he is one of China's earliest internet witnesses and participants. He has worked in product, R&D, data analysis, and architectural management, witnessing and participating in multiple startups' growth to scale and even IPO. He is also one of the founders of CNZZ, China's first free web statistics system. He is the author of the well-known public account "caoz's Dream Whisper," influencing a generation of internet professionals with his sharp technical insights and industry perspectives.

Yang Ling – Founder and CEO of ShipLinker. Headquartered in Singapore, ShipLinker is an AI-driven shipping chartering and delivery platform that provides intelligent real-time data services to shipowners, charterers, and brokers. With over 25 years of experience in the logistics industry, Yang Ling is responsible for the group's overall corporate strategy planning, business development, and key decision-making.

Wang Xiaoyu – Founder and CEO of Guru Network. She founded the audio platform Castbox in 2016, which surpassed 50 million registered users globally. Today, she leads Guru Network in building an AI and digital media matrix covering 175 countries with over 50 products, amassing more than 1 billion total downloads – making her a prominent figure in global internet product expansion.

Zhao Xiaochun – Co-founder of SmallWOD. The name SmallWOD comes from "What a small world," with WOD standing for World Of Doer. This social media platform is designed for global relocators, aiming to create a small world full of action and mutual support – "Overseas, but still belonging."

Cai Li – Co-founder and CEO of DataRaccoon. Founded in 2024, DataRaccoon focuses on AI and data. Cai Li, who started her entrepreneurial journey from Shanghai to Singapore, once pointed out at an AI entrepreneurship sharing session co-hosted by Tsinghua and Huazhong University of Science and Technology's Singapore alumni associations that "AI can be a 'digital worker' for professionals, and everyone should take the initiative to use AI tools to reshape their personal value."

These speakers aren't here to just talk theory – they've taken real steps in overseas markets.

Capital Barometers: Where Are the Billions Going?

Capital never follows the noise.

James Tan – Managing Partner of Quest Ventures, one of Asia's top venture capital firms, anchored by Singapore's sovereign wealth fund. Its investors include sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors, family offices, and prominent Asian executives and entrepreneurs. Since 2011, Quest Ventures has focused on a "digital economy" strategy, investing in AI, e-commerce, fintech, and more. Its portfolio includes unicorns like Carousell, Carro, and Shopback. Hearing where they see the next big opportunity is worth more than reading a hundred research reports.

Helen Wong – Managing Partner of ACV Capital, a growth equity firm focused on high-growth tech enterprises in Southeast Asia, headquartered in Indonesia. The firm manages five funds with over $500 million in AUM and has invested in more than 120 companies over the past eight years. Helen Wong holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD, and is a Kauffman Fellow. While others look at macro data, they track where real money flows.

AI Frontline Players: From Tech to Execution – They Call the Shots

Summer Tang – APAC Growth Marketing Lead at HeyMax.AI – This Singapore-based AI loyalty and travel rewards platform was founded in 2023 by four former Meta engineers. It completed a $2.6 million seed round led by January Capital in July 2024 and an $11 million Series A in January 2026. It has partnered with major merchants like Amazon, Apple, Grab, and Shopee, and has expanded into Australia. Others talk about AI concepts; they talk about how AI makes money.

Queenie Wu – Founder of vibethon.ai – vibethon is an enhanced Python debugger that automatically detects code and provides interactive debugging capabilities. Its product "Vibethon Code Arena" won the Popularity Award at the Xiaohongshu Hackathon Summit.

David Wang – Global Vice President of Distribution at FizzDragon – Headquartered in Singapore, FizzDragon is a globally recognized AIGC film content ecosystem company, covering 43 niche areas including AI films, AI short dramas, AI advertising, AI audiobooks, AI digital humans, AI virtual idol operations, and AI cultural tourism. It operates in 27 countries and regions including China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Italy, the United States, France, Japan, and South Korea. In 2024, the team was selected for NVIDIA's Inception program, and also made it to the Alibaba Global Entrepreneurs Competition Top 30 and the Microsoft Global Accelerator.

And more surprise guests are being confirmed – leaving some suspense for the on-site reveal.

Among attendees, 55% are senior executives from Chinese companies, 25% are local Singapore political and business representatives, and 20% come from other countries and regions. By industry, AI accounts for 55%, software 22%, investment 15%, gaming 3%, cross-border e-commerce 3%, and short dramas 2%.

This is not an ordinary conference – the people on stage shape industry direction, and the people in the audience are reshaping the global business landscape. September 17–18, 2026, at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
